TWO FORMER EXETER CITY PLAYERS Barry McConnell & Kwame Ampadu gave up their time to present Trophies to the Exmouth Amateur Under 11’s and Under 12’s youth football teams.
The event took place at the Warren View Club House in Exmouth where the evening was used to raise money for Michael Hunter an Under 12’s youth player who recently suffered a stroke and spent some time in Frenchays hospital.
The teams have had a tough season especially the under 11’s who lost 5 of their team to the Exeter City Academy at the end of last season. Barry McConnell was reminiscing with Kwame Ampadu and commenting, “it seemed only yesterday when I was sitting there receiving my award as a young boy”. This was a very special night in recognition of the teams effort and achievements for the season.
